Also of note, the race director for the Rev3 left a nice comment in one of our galleries praising the Sandusky/Erie County community for their support during the weekend...
Rev3 Triathlon Tue, 09/10/2013 - 1:46pm
We appreciate how much care the citizens take in Erie County. This is our best race in our 9 race series because of the people of this community. Rev3 is an organization that puts these events on and Cedar Point is our host as much as Sandusky, Huron, and Erie County. Rev3 pays the police for the safety of the competitors and the residents. We go above and beyond to make this the best and safest event possible. We donate $10,000 to local non-profit groups that come out to volunteer. The economic impact of this event is over $1,000,000 benefit the community. From hotel stays, restaurants, retailers, service providers, rental companies, and many more. Unfortunately, the media coverage is really poor and it really deserves more attention for what this event brings to the community. We will be back next year and hopefully many years to come....always the weekend after Labor Day. See you next year!!! Eric, Race Director
We will continue to cover the races better and better each year.
