I came in first place with a total weight loss of 86 pounds.
Wow, who would have thought that the past six months would have flown by this fast?
I am sad to say that this is my final blog for the FIT Challenge.
It has been an amazing journey.
I entered this challenge slightly nervous like, "Oh man, what did I get myself into?"
The answer to that question is that I got myself into an amazing experience that I wouldn't change for the world.
I lost a significant amount of weight, but I gained even more knowledge.
I now know how to eat properly and eat right.
The last month of the challenge was the toughest.
I hurt my feet and was struggling with that.
I fought through the pain and finished out the challenge strong and on top of my game.
I will continue to work out and eat healthy.
The FIT Challenge ended Jan. 4, but MY Challenge starts immediately.
Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support you have given me throughout this whole challenge.
I wasn't sure if I would like the public attention, but after everything is said and done I wouldn't take it back for anything.
To anyone out there who is overweight and debating if they should apply for the challenge or not, please take the plunge.
It can seem scary and a little nerve-racking, but your life is worth it.
Trying to lose weigh is not going to be all positive all the time.
You will hit a wall or have a "bad" week or even gain a pound or two back.
However, do not get discouraged or give up.
Sometimes you can get a little lazy and it's that one bad week that keeps you in line.
It makes you realize that you have to stick with it or you will gain it back.
I am the biggest contestant so far, but wait until you see me next year.
I WILL set the record for the most weight lost from a contestant!
