Remember when you were a kid and you would run from house-to-house trying to outrace your friends and siblings to ring the doorbell first?
I remember my sweaty Scooby Doo mask and shredded pants from one year's trick-or-treat.
Take that same motivation into this Sunday with a couple Halloween-themed 5ks. The Perkins Lady Cross Country team is hosting a 5k at the high school with a fun run for the little ones. There is also a costume contest for kids and adults. This race will be part of my 50 miles before the end of the year.
At the same time Ability Works is hosting a Pumpkin Run/Walk/Roll 5k at Osborn MetroPark. Both race registrations are available below.
And if you don't shred your costume while running one of these two races, put the costume on again the following Sunday for our FIT Fright Challenge 5k at the Norwalk Reservoir.
