How about a 'Mid' Year Resolution?

It's April. So by now the gyms are back to normal levels after most people have ditched their New Year's Resolutions and are indulging during Spring Break with Easter hams, hard-boiled eggs and candy. Peeps and peanut butter eggs can be addictive.

So why is it we start our resolutions in January, one of the coldest months of the year. 1/1 might have something to do with it.

I am proposing a 'Mid' Year Resolution just in time to shed a few pounds for the warmer weather. There are plenty of Couch to 5k programs out there to get you running or walking miles within a couple months. If you'd like a place to start there are two "Walk with a Doc" programs within the next week in Norwalk and Sandusky. This is a good opportunity to talk with a doctor about any concerns you may have with getting your health back on track.

The first one is tomorrow, Wednesday at Norwalk's Veterans Park. Click HERE for more information. I am planning on attending and I am also urging any of our FIT challengers to attend as well.

The next one is Monday and is the kickoff for the Look Who's Walking Program at Osborn Park in Huron Township. Click HERE for more information. I'll see you out there as well.

If you'd like to start a Mid-Year Resolution, these walks could be a good start. A good goal to set would be our FIT Challenge 5k on Sunday, May 26. We will have a lot of first-time 5k runners and walkers including our own FIT Challengers. Keep checking back at FirelandsInTraining.com for more information.

Dude has a Michigan hat and a Ohio sweatshirt. Make up your mind. Also, you're missing 8/3 Norwalk Tri.

Well aware of the Norwalk Tri, just waiting on a website to link it to.

I'm a Michigan fan who went to OU, no mind-making necessary. The one time they met in the NCAA tourney, Go Bobcats! but they lost.

Thanks for the post, if you have a link to the tri, please share.
