Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I can say with a smile on my face that I survived Thanksgiving.
Our family got together at my mom’s house, along with my sister’s family from Michigan. It was wonderful to get everyone together in the same house.
I can say with supreme confidence that from a food standpoint, I was very well behaved. I had a small amount of mashed potatoes, some turkey, as well as some green beans. After dinner, I had a cupcake-sized piece of pumpkin pie. I felt pretty good about not overdoing it at all on a day when it would have been VERY easy for me to do so.
I was at the gym first thing Friday morning, and was able to get through a tough circuit, which hopefully invalidated anything and everything that I did eat Thursday.
On Saturday evening, all 10 of us went to Marconi’s, and had a wonderful dinner. I had a chicken Caesar salad (without the dressing) and coffee. I made steak fajitas for Sunday’s Browns game, and I’m typing this into the 3rd quarter. Hopefully, it will end up being a Browns victory.
I truly hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and got to spend some time with their families. Enjoy the holiday season, and have a healthy and happy start to December.
