This past week kind of smacked me right in the mug. I got to the gym at 5:30 on Monday morning, and went through a pretty extensive workout. I had my bag packed to get to the gym for Tuesday, and unfortunately it was packed for the whole week. With a late night of soccer mixed in, my body reminded me of the fact that I hadn’t been sleeping enough in the past couple of weeks.
I woke up on time twice this week (4:30 a.m.) but my head evidently wasn’t clear enough, and I turned off the clock and fell back asleep. By the time I woke up AGAIN, it was 6 a.m. and by then, I certainly don’t have time to get to the gym. Yes, I know I could have gone in the afternoon, but I’ve been working my way through several big assignments in my classes recently, so I wanted to ensure that I had enough time to get that work completed.
This is the last week in which I have any public address work, so my schedule should become a bit more flexible. I’m definitely planning on being there at least three days this week. I’m disappointed in myself for not getting myself to the gym. While I’m not ready to admit that I’ve “fallen off the wagon,” I’ve got to rediscover my drive. It’s got to become more of a priority again.
