Walton adds a vegetable to each meal

I think it’s been another productive week, even with a small setback, I was able to keep on track.
I worked out with my husband, Christian, on Jan. 19 and Friday. \
I took Jan. 20 off, thinking that would be my only day off, but I started to get sick with a head cold on Monday and was feeling bad enough on Tuesday, to not meet my Norwalk Rec trainer Hannah Riley as we scheduled.
I was worried about cancelling since we were just in the second week of FIT.
I didn’t want Hannah to think I was going to make a habit of cancelling, but she was very understanding.
I had the day off from work Wednesday and just spent all day resting.
Toward the evening, I was feeling much better so Christian and I went to circuit training with Tim Dorsey Fitness.
That definitely got me moving again and ready for Hannah on Thursday. Well, maybe not ready enough because Hannah is really starting to challenge me, which is a good thing.
I’ve been doing pretty well with my food choices. I’m also trying to eat a vegetable with every meal and watch my portion size.
I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but sometimes I don’t have time, which seems to help me from getting too hungry before lunch. Hannah reminded me eating breakfast is much better for me than skipping.
She also created a booklet of quick and healthy breakfast ideas. I’m looking forward to trying out a few.
I’m hoping to be totally up to par this week.
My goal is to start a food log and try a few exercises at home on my own.
For some reason, I like exercising with someone. When I’m by myself, exercise just doesn’t seem to happen. That’s definitely something that needs to change and I’m going to have to work hard to make happen.
