It seems like lately, people have been popping out of the woodwork and asking how my FIT Challenge is going.
I feel like I’m disappointing them. I tell them we’re in week 8 and I have yet to lose 10 pounds.
I know I have mentioned before in my blog, that I have been told by people who know more than I know, that I shouldn’t obsess with my weight loss.
I need to see my progression through inches lost, not so much pounds lost. Weight loss and fat loss are not the same. I want to lower my body fat.
I do see positive results from the changes I have made in my life.
My pants are looser, other people have been noticing that I “look like I lost weight” and this past week, I even noticed that a pair of socks my son bought me for my birthday last year, which had been so tight they stopped the blood flow to my feet, fit comfortably now.
It’s taking some time, but physically, I can tell I’m getting stronger and I’ve lost inches.
I’ve read and have been told over and over again, dropping 1-2 inches or 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy amount to lose. Still frustrating, though.
I was able to get in four workouts this week. I have been doing well sticking to my low calorie/high protein foods.
I have found that the high protein makes me feel fuller longer. This definitely helps the urge to snack. Now I’m just looking forward to another positive week.
