The last line of my very first blog was, “Somewhere between July and December, I’m going to run into the person I was before my surgeries, and I’m gonna kick her butt and improve her.”
This past week hasn't been too eventful. I worked, worked out, put up my tree. End of story.
I'm trying to prepare for this upcoming challenge of being in a pool; it’s a lot to do. It is by far the hardest challenge we've had yet. I'm scared to death, but I'll do what I can.
I was semi glad to have Target open on Thanksgiving night; it meant there was no time to make a huge meal and have family down to stuff my face and go into turkey coma.
Our challenge was this past week; it was a shuttle run, a short sprint with weights. We all did a fabulous job. I lost out on first place by .81 of a second!
Past week has been pretty good. We got a new machine at the gym. It’s called a Helix. I tried explaining it to someone in the locker room, and that person gave me that “she's a crazy lady” expression.
Well, I’ve done it! I have finally been able to jog a complete mile – without stopping. Took me little over 13 minutes, but I did it! I’m mighty proud. Thank you C25K program thing!
This past week, I’ve been sick. It all started Monday night, after the challenge. We were out at Anytime Fitness in Norwalk, and the challenge was survivor style planking. Last one to drop, won.
