I am doing well with the FIT Challenge.

When I was at the gym last week, I stepped on the scale and I had went down 9 pounds, which means I have lost 47 pounds.

I am almost to my goal of 50 pounds lost by the end of April.

I found out today that I will be having my surgery June 12.

The doctor told me the surgery will take care of the meniscus and the fluid in my knee, but he said it will not fix the cartilage.

I will be still in a little pain with that, but not so much because the meniscus will be taken care of.

He also said I will be out for four to eight weeks.

I not looking forward to that because I am the type of person who can’t sit around doing nothing.

I will still be going to the gym with crutches because nothing is going to stop me from hitting my main goal.

I would love to lose 80 pounds total by the time the FIT Challenge is finished with my weight at 271.

I know that is a lot, but I am going to work very hard on everything, even when I am down for a few weeks because of the surgery!

Stay strong! You can reach the goal even with the surgery. Best of luck!
