I enjoyed my three-day weekend, but it was back to reality this week. I will probably work every day until Thanksgiving. With Christmas coming soon, the extra money will be nice.
My doctor had me retake my blood tests and they all came back normal this time. He said that as long as I continue eating healthy, my bad cholesterol will come down. Everything else was good.
My wife and I find ourselves reading the back of food and drink packages now when we shop. We check for fat grams, carbs and salt. We talked ourselves out of some cherry cider we saw at Aldis because it had too many calories in it. Eating healthy isn't easy; some of the low-fat food is worse than regular food.
FIT Challenge contestants Keisa and Meg were talking about running in the 5k Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. I'm thinking about joining them. I'll run until my back and hip start bothering me AND with any luck they won't. I'm not worried about my stamina; it's more about the aches and pains.
