Bourbon doesn't just belong at the bar

Bring the bourbon from the bar into the kitchen. The rich flavor helps enhance this dish, Bourbon Glazed Salmon. The omega-3 fatty acids and low sodium of this dish works great for someone on a heart healthy diet.

Bourbon Glazed Salmon

3 tablespoons brown sugar

3 tablespoons bourbon

2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon grated ginger

1 tablespoon lime juice

4 (6-ounces) skinless salmon Filets

Cooking Spray

Combine the first seven ingredients in a large zip top bag. Add fish to the bag and marinate for two hours, turn after one hour.

Heat large nonstick pan over medium heat and coat with cooking spray. Add fish and marinade to the pan and cook for four minutes on the first side, then flip.

Cook fish until it flakes easily with a fork. Plate fish and drizzle with sauce from pan.
