I did do some actual hiking at Hoosier National Forest recently.

Nellie (the dog) and I skipped down the road with happy eyes and wagging tails to Tipsaw Recreation Area.

It's been a whirlwind the past few months.
 
New job, old job, road playlists, a snowy owl, holiday happenings, weather whiplash and laughing eyes.

I have stuff. I have a lot of stuff. More stuff than a girl and her dog need. Stuff I use, stuff I don't use- trinkets and knick knacks I've picked up over the years and miles.

We are onto the fourth limb of Pantanjali's Yoga Sutra. The previous three were the yamas (restraints), niyamas (observances), and asanas (physical postures). Pranayama or breath control comprises the fourth limb.

It's November. Gone are the days of endless sunshine and firefly nights, shooed abruptly away by the dazzling heralds of fall.
 
November is a month of thanks or gratitude.

Down dog, Adho Mukha Svanasana, is a pose that usually comes to mind when hearing the word yoga.
 
Some folks love it, some hate it and some love to hate it.
 
Personally, I go through seasons with it.

I have a new love.
 
Yes, I know I've already proclaimed that once on this blog before. I was talking about paddling. I still love it. I just also love caterpillars. Yes caterpillars, you read me right.

Let's continue our review of the eight limbs of yoga. We are on the third limb- asana or physical postures. In general, if you are new to yoga or just not had time to delve into the spiritual study, this is most likely what you associate as yoga.
