Put on your cape and get in your invisible jet for this weekend's Superhero 5k Fun Run & Sidekick 1 Mile Walk in Monroeville. (link with information below) Proceeds from the run benefit the Norwalk Baptist Church F.U.E.L. Youth group to go to Camp CoBeAc in June 2014.
And speaking of Superheros, Batgirl may make an appearance at the annual Mason's Walk/Run on Sunday, September 29. Batman is Mason Adams' favorite superhero and his family and friends have the annual Apraxia awareness event at Osborne Park.

Also, yesterday in Dayton there was a walk for ALS awareness. Cheryl, Barb and Josclynn Garrison in memory of their superhero husband/father Joe. Joe was a Sandusky-area broadcaster and football coach who died of complications from ALS over ten years ago. Joe and his family became my Sandusky family during a story we did on Joe's illness. Joe would say there are no bad days, just good days and better days. The Garrison family also lost a father, uncle and son Keith several years later to ALS.

Although the walk was yesterday, you can still help the family reach their fundraising goal by clicking HERE.
